Assassination in Balldren, Lezha/ The perpetrators' vehicle is found and

The "Volkswagen Polo" vehicle, from which the perpetrators fired a gun at the vehicle in which citizens KM and GM, spouses, were traveling, on 26.04.2026, in the village of Balldren, Lezha, is found and seized.

The perpetrators' clothing at the time of the crime, as well as a pair of license plates, are also found and seized. A citizen is declared wanted and his father is prosecuted.

During the search inside the vehicle, the investigation team found and seized, as material evidence, 2 model 56 cartridges, and upon inspection, it was found that the vehicle had a broken rear window and the side door triangles.

The investigative actions resulted in the citizen FM taking the “Volkswagen Polo” vehicle (which his sister had rented in Rinas), removing the license plates and, in collaboration with one of the 2 citizens declared wanted, using it to block the road and shoot at the vehicle in which citizens KM and GM were traveling. After the crime, he took the vehicle to the apartment of citizen BK and hid it by covering it with grass, with the aim of losing traces, also claiming that citizen BK had his vehicle identical and regular.

Following the actions, citizen BK, 22 years old, resident of the village of Torovicë, was declared wanted for the criminal offenses of "Murder in other aggravating circumstances" and "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

Also, materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for the 22-year-old's father, citizen NK, 79 years old, resident of the village of Torovicë, for the criminal offense of "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition."

Meanwhile, the Police services continue their field searches to locate and capture the perpetrators, as well as the citizen who was declared wanted this afternoon.
The procedural materials were referred to the Lezha Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
