Adapted the apartment as a "call center" / 25-year-old woman arrested

A 25-year-old woman has been arrested in Tirana after she had adapted her apartment as a "call center." The citizen, MS, is in custody, suspected of deceiving foreign citizens into investing in fictitious stock exchanges.   

As material evidence, 13 computer units, 2 laptops, 5 mobile phones and other material evidence were seized that will serve to document this criminal activity.  

Police announcement:

DVP Tirana/The operation codenamed "Adapted" is finalized.

A 25-year-old woman has been arrested after she set up her apartment as a call center to trick foreign citizens into investing in fictitious stock exchanges.      

Computer equipment, cell phones, and other material evidence were seized from the apartment.

As a result of the information obtained operationally, specialists from the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Cybercrimes Investigation Directorate at the DPPSH, organized and finalized the operation codenamed "Adapted".     

As part of this operation, citizen MS, 25 years old, residing in Tirana, was arrested.   

Police services intervened in the apartment owned and managed by the 25-year-old, on "Tish Daija" street, which had been adapted as a call center, from where it is suspected that foreign citizens were being deceived into investing in fictitious stock exchanges.   

As material evidence, 13 computer units, 2 laptops, 5 mobile phones and other material evidence were seized that will serve to document this criminal activity.  

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. / CNA
