A gun attack was recorded today in Lezha. The victims of the gunfire were a married couple, specifically citizen KM, 39 years old, and citizen GM, 32 years old.

According to reports, around 30 bullets hit the victims' vehicle, while earlier the director of the Lezha Police, Arben Nasufi, stated that the car was shot with a volley while it was moving.

The causes of the shocking event are still unknown, while it is reported that specialists from the Serious Crimes sector of the State Police have arrived in Lezha from Tirana for the investigation.

The perpetrators of the serious crime also remain a mystery. No details are known about their identity, while it was previously announced that checks have been launched to locate and capture them. So far, it is suspected that there are two tracks to the criminal incident: blood feud and drug dealing.

The 39-year-old was arrested in 2017, along with his brother, for a murder that occurred 10 years ago in the village of Mali i Jushit in Shkodra, where the victim was citizen GM. At the same time, 39-year-old KM was charged with the criminal offense of "Premeditated Murder", committed in collaboration with "Unlicensed Production and Possession of Weapons and Ammunition". /CNA
