Undeclared money at the border/ 26 thousand euros and pounds seized in Rinas, 2

The Rinas Border Police Services have cracked down on two cases of non-declaration of monetary values ??at the border.

Over 26 thousand euros and pounds were seized in Rinas, while two citizens were criminally prosecuted.

Announcement:

Following the actions, criminal proceedings were initiated against the Albanian citizen D. Sh., 37 years old, resident of the United Kingdom, who, during the second-line check, was found to have 15,000 pounds, which he intended to bring into the territory of the Republic of Albania without declaring, in violation of the legislation in force.

Also, criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen AZ, 32 years old, resident of Kamëz, who, during the second-line check, was found to have 11,370 euros, which he intended to take out of the Republic of Albania without declaring, in violation of the law.

Controls and verifications by the Border Police will continue uninterruptedly, with the aim of preventing illegal activities at the border.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
