They performed dangerous maneuvers on the road while drunk/ Police punish

The Traffic Police Sector Services at the Durrës DVP, during intensive monitoring in implementation of the "Weekend" measures plan, on "Petrit Llaftiu" street and "Taulantia" street, have observed two vehicles performing dangerous maneuvers on the road and were immediately stopped by Police officers.

In order to avoid the administrative measure, the two drivers, citizens NN and HM, attempted to bribe Traffic Police officers by offering sums of money.

The alcohol test conducted on the driver of the vehicle on "Petrit Llaftiu" street, citizen NN, showed that he was driving while intoxicated, at a level of 1.62 mg/l. 

While the driver of the vehicle on "Taulantia" street, citizen HM, was found to be driving while intoxicated, at a level of 1.57 mg/l. (During January, 4 drivers were arrested for driving while intoxicated and attempting to bribe Traffic Police officers)

Also, during the monitoring, citizen DM and citizen D. Ç. were arrested, after they were found driving while intoxicated, specifically citizen DM at a level of 1.22 mg/l, while citizen D. Ç. at a level of 2.21 mg/l.

Also during the monitoring, on "Hysen Kertusha" street, citizen RD, resident of Durrës, was arrested, who was found driving a vehicle without a driving license.

The investigative materials were referred to the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for further action, for the criminal offenses of "Irregular Driving" and "Active Corruption of Persons Exercising Public Functions"./ CNA
