SPAK wants to transfer to the state account 10 real estates owned by a Belgian citizen, suspected by Belgian justice of trafficking large loads of cocaine from Latin America to Europe.

Seizure of the assets in Albania of the Belgian Dries Loneux was approved by the court in June last year, based on the anti-mafia law, as assets secured by criminal activity, following a coordinated investigation between SPAK and Belgian justice.

The assets of the Belgian Dries Loneux are 5 apartments in Saranda as well as 5 plots of land in Tirana, ranging from 550 meters to 5150 meters, in one of which there is also a building.

The land surfaces were owned by the commercial company "Ralet Green", registered in September 2019 in the National Business Center Albania with administrator and sole shareholder Dries Loneux.

Now, SPAK requests the confiscation of assets, a request that is expected to be examined by the Special Court on May 24.

At the request of SPAK, the court has also made a public announcement for the session, through which it seeks to notify about the session not only Dries Loneux, but also his mother, daughter, ex-wife, cohabitant, as well as an Albanian citizen. as related persons.

Currently, 45-year-old Loneux is in the cells of the Arlon prison in Belgium, serving a 12-year prison sentence given last year by the justice of this country for the charges of "running a criminal organization", "narcotics trafficking" and " importation of cocaine".

The group he belonged to was blamed for importing into Europe nearly 2 tons of cocaine, hidden in containers of fruit or other goods coming from Colombia.

The cocaine was brought in from the port of Antwerp and then processed in the organization's laboratories in Ferrueres and Modave, two Belgian localities.
