Malta emerged as the EU country with the highest employment rate of recent graduates.
In 2023, almost 96 percent of recent graduates in Malta were employed, as revealed by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat).
In addition, the employment rate of recent graduates in Malta was the highest among the 22 EU countries, exceeding the EU average rate of 83.5 percent.
This means that students in this country are more likely to secure a job offer after graduation, reports Schengen.news.info.
After Malta, the other EU countries that recorded a notable employment rate of recent graduates were the Netherlands, Iceland, Germany and Austria.

On the other hand, the lowest employment rates were recorded in Italy (67.5 percent), Greece (72.3 percent), Romania (74.8 percent), Croatia (78.2 percent) and Spain (78.7 percent).
Eurostat noted that the overall employment rate among recent graduates in the EU has increased steadily over the past ten years, reaching almost 84 percent in 2023./ CNA
