Hawaii's Kilauea volcano erupts, sending lava 100 meters into the air

Hawaii's Kilauea volcano has erupted 32 times in a short period of time, sending lava from its crater to the summit in a spectacular display that has thrilled visitors and online viewers.

Scientists say the activity stems from the same eruption, as magma consistently follows a single path to the surface.

The lava remains confined within the summit crater within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, posing no threat to nearby homes or infrastructure.

Visitors can witness the eruption up close in the park, while thousands of people follow live broadcasts provided by the U.S. Geological Survey, offering multiple viewing angles.
