Netizens went berserk after seeing a rat's eyes up close

Social media users were left speechless when they discovered what a mouse's eye actually looks like.

On one hand there are people who would never want to have a rodent in their home as a pet and on the other hand there are those who would never part with their beloved animals.

However, a post on Reddit freaked out users after they realized they never knew what a mouse's eye actually looks like.

The strange image shows a rat poking its head out of a cage during sunset. It was the sunlight that revealed the rodent's two eyes.

While the mouse's head appears to be looking towards the camera, its two eyes look in opposite directions.

The photo caused a sensation on the popular platform with users who could not "cope" this strange sight.

Some came to the rodent's defense, saying, "This photo is NOT good for the mouse at all."/ CNA
