Footage of activists of the flotilla stopped by Israel/Italy, request to the EU:

Italian Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, has announced through a post on social media that official Rome will ask EC Vice President Kaia Kallas to immediately impose sanctions against Israeli Minister Ben Gvir.

Tajan's reaction comes after the publication of images from the flotilla stopped by Israeli authorities, which was destined for Gaza.

"On behalf of the Italian government, I have just officially asked High Representative Kaja Kallas to include in the upcoming discussion of EU foreign ministers the adoption of sanctions against Israeli Minister of National Security Ben-Gvir. The reason is the unacceptable actions against the Flotilla, with the removal of activists from international waters and their subjection to harassment and humiliation, in violation of the most fundamental human rights ," the Italian minister's post reads.

Since the humanitarian flotilla was stopped, there have been strong reactions in Europe and within Israel to the video released by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, in which activists appear kneeling and with their hands tied behind their backs.
