The Biden administration is planning a potential $323 million arms sale to Finland, which shares a border with Russia.

The administration informed Congress on Monday of its approval of the potential sale of tactical missiles and Joint Standoff Weapons, the US State Department said in a statement.

Approval of the proposed sale comes as Finland seeks to join NATO.

“Kjo shitje e propozuar do të mbështesë politikën e jashtme dhe sigurinë kombëtare të Shteteve të Bashkuara duke përmirësuar sigurinë e një partneri të besuar, i cili është një forcë e rëndësishme për stabilitetin politik dhe përparimin ekonomik në Evropë”, thuhet në njoftim. "The proposed sale will enhance Finland's air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons capabilities and will positively impact US relations with countries in the Nordic region," the announcement continued.
