Doctor: President Biden is in good health, he can continue his duties

President Joe Biden "continues to be fit for duty," his doctor said Wednesday after a routine medical checkup that is being closely watched as the 81-year-old seeks a second term in November's election.

Dr. Kevin O'Connor, President Biden's doctor, wrote that the president is adjusting better to a device that helps him control sleep disorders and that he has experienced some discomfort in his hip, but he also exercises five days a week.

"President Biden is a healthy, active and vigorous 81-year-old male who continues to be able to successfully carry out the functions of the presidency ," wrote Dr. O'Connor in a six-page document on the president's health.

President Biden's medical checkup at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center lasted more than two and a half hours.
