The former American president, Donald Trump, has reacted again regarding the assassination attempt on him that happened on Saturday during a rally in Pennsylvania.
"It was only God who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will not fear, but rather remain resilient in our faith and defiant in the face of evil. We pray for the healing of those who were injured and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was horribly killed. We will stand together," Trump said.
He added further, "I truly love our country and I love you all and I look forward to speaking to our Great Nation this week from Wisconsin."
The incident happened Saturday night in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump was injured in his right ear, but his state of health appears to be good.
Meanwhile, a supporter of the former president lost his life from gunfire and two others were seriously injured. 20-year-old perpetrator Matthew Crooks was executed by security forces. /CNA
