Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure/ 2 casualties are recorded

A Russian missile attack on infrastructure in Ukraine's western Lviv region killed one person, while another was killed in an attack in the northeast, officials said Sunday.

The attack in Lviv destroyed a building and opened fire, Governor Maksym Kozytskyi said in a post on the Telegram social media app. He said that rescue operations are being carried out.

In the Kharkiv region, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said an airstrike killed a 19-year-old man on Sunday after a shell hit a gas station.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of people in Ukraine's Odesa region lost power on Sunday after debris from a downed Russian drone opened fire at a power facility, Governor Oleh Kiper said.

About 170,000 homes suffered power cuts due to the attack, Ukraine's largest private electricity operator, DTEK, said.
The Ukrainian air force said it shot down nine of 11 Shahed drones launched by Russia overnight, as well as nine of 14 cruise missiles.
