Escobar visits the Monastery of Deçan

The envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, visits the Monastery of Deçan.

Escobar has stated that the last Kosovo-Serbia agreement must be implemented and work must be done on this.  

"Meanwhile, in the long term, we must work hard to implement the historic agreement on normalization that we reached in March last year. So, we will continue to work, but in the meantime, I think that all the people of Kosovo can count on American support, including Albanians, Serbs, Bosniaks, everyone who lives in this country. I hope they feel the American support and the American partnership", said Escobar.

This visit of his comes after yesterday's meeting with President Vjosa Osmani, with whom he also held a joint conference.

There, Escobar welcomed the government's decision for the Monastery of Deçan, Kosovo media reports.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, asked the Cadastral Agency to register the property of the Monastery of Deçan according to the decision of the Constitutional Court./ CNA
