Great Britain reinforces the Ukrainian army / Donates long-range missiles

Great Britain has been a staunch supporter of Ukraine in its war with Russia since day one.

On Wednesday, the British government confirmed that it is enriching the arsenal of the Ukrainian army with long-range missiles.

The Storm Shadow cruise missile has a range of over 250 km.

The United Kingdom's Defense Secretary, Ben Wallace, has said that with an arsenal of this caliber, the state of Ukraine will have the "best chance" to defend itself.

The decision comes after repeated pleas from Ukraine for more weapons from the West.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov promised that the longer-range missiles would not be used to attack targets inside Russia itself.

"If we can strike at a distance of up to 300 kilometers, the Russian army will not be able to provide protection and will have to lose. Ukraine is ready to give every guarantee that your weapons will not be involved in attacks on Russian territory," he said at an EU meeting./ CNA.al
