The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, will host the special representative of the European Union for the dialogue with Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak, on Monday morning in his office in the building of the Government of Kosovo.

The European emissary, after the visit to Pristina, is expected to go to Belgrade as well.

Officials from the European Union have said that Lajcak's visit to Kosovo and Serbia aims to prepare the next steps in the dialogue between the two countries, which is mediated by the EU.

In his visits to both capitals, Lajcak is expected to meet with the chief negotiators of the two states in dialogue, namely Besnik Bislim and Petar Petkovic.

On May 2, the last round of high-level dialogue was held in Brussels between the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

In this meeting, the parties reached an agreement on the Declaration of the missing from the last war in Kosovo, but also presented the draft statute for the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, which was drafted by a management team, consisting of four members. of the Serbian community.

This draft statute was not accepted by the Government of Kosovo and a day later, the members of the Management Team were dismissed by the Kosovo authorities.

Serbia demands that the Association be established, while Prime Minister Kurti's Government has expressed its opposition to a single-ethnic association./ CNA.al
