The EU's Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, spoke to the media after the meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

Lajçak stated that he discussed with Kurti about the next steps in the framework of the Ohrid agreement.

 " I came to Pristina today to discuss with Kurt and Bislim about the way forward on the road to normalization.

It is very important that we have a clear understanding of the next steps. We had a very important discussion and we will have the same discussion in Belgrade.

We have the agreement, we have the annex and now it is very important to have it clear for step 1, 2 and 3", said Lajçak.

He also revealed that he will visit the north of Kosovo to see the situation closely.

" This evening I will go to the north, I want to understand the situation and I hope that there will be a political solution that will enable us to fully implement the agreement.

We can have normalization or confrontation and we definitely want to focus on normalization. Conflict is not in anyone's interest.

We discussed how the EU sees the process of the draft statute and I think we have an understanding of the process" , said Lajçak./ CNA.al
