Tragic accident in Brazil/ 1 worker dies during preparations for Shakira concert

A worker has tragically lost his life during construction work on the stage for the concert of the famous Colombian singer Shakira in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

According to the organizers of the "Todo Mundo No Rio" event, the incident occurred on Copacabana Beach, as structures were being assembled for the major concert that is expected to attract millions of visitors.

In an official statement, the organizers confirmed that the worker was involved in an accident while at work and despite first aid at the scene and immediate transportation to the hospital, he passed away.

Witnesses at the scene said the stage structure suddenly collapsed, causing panic among workers working in the area.

Shakira's planned concert remains one of the biggest music events of the year in Brazil, but the tragic event has cast a shadow over its preparations./CNA
