Accident in Germany/ Bus from Kosovo collides with car, several passengers

The company "Dubova Reisen" confirmed to Radio Free Europe that one of its buses, carrying passengers from Kosovo, was involved in an accident in Germany in the early hours of August 20.

The company said that only three passengers suffered injuries.

"Fortunately, the passengers are fine, only three of them have minor injuries due to damage to the windows. The accident occurred at around 00:30. The bus was on its route, a car came from the left, from the driver's side, losing control," the company said.

German media outlets Rosenheim24 and Bild, citing German police, said 30 people were injured in the accident.

According to "Bild", six of the passengers were seriously injured and taken to hospital, while the others, with more minor injuries, were treated at the Irschenberg fire department.

The bus involved in the accident was carrying 50 passengers when it collided with a truck loaded with goods on the A8 motorway near Irschenberg at night.

The bus was heading towards Munich and the driver, a 49-year-old Slovenian, apparently saw the truck too late. The truck, loaded with vegetables, was being driven by a 47-year-old Pole. The bus crashed into the back of the truck, despite the driver's attempts to avoid the accident.

After this accident, German authorities closed the A8 segment to traffic for almost two hours./ Rel
