A plane with 34 passengers has landed on a frozen lake in Russia's Far East, and the cause appears to be pilot error.
No one was injured when the Soviet-era Antonov An-24 plane landed Thursday morning not far from the runway on the frozen Koljama Lake.
The plane landed near the airport in Zirianka.
Prosecutors have said that initial investigations show that the pilot is guilty.
The passengers had departed from Yakutsk to Zirianka.
In some recordings released by the passengers, the plane is seen almost in the center of the frozen lake, in eastern Siberia.
