Ambulance collides with bus with 30 children/ Doctor, nurse and 2 others die

A tragic accident happened this Wednesday afternoon in Italy inside the Ca' Gulino tunnel where four people lost their lives.

An ambulance which was transporting an 80-year-old patient collided with a bus with children.

All the people who were in the ambulance lost their lives in the accident, namely the doctor, the nurse, the ambulance driver and the patient.

There were about 30 children on the bus. Fortunately, they managed to get out of the vehicle without life-threatening injuries.

After they got out of the vehicle, the bus burst into flames and thick clouds of smoke covered the entire tunnel, the place where the accident happened.

The Italian media report that they are working to clarify the circumstances of the event./ CNA
