"48 bases with anti-aircraft systems and heavy artillery"/ Government

The Government of Kosovo has reacted regarding the recent developments regarding the movements of the military units of the Armed Forces of Serbia in the direction of the border line with Kosovo.

The government says that the movements of the Serbian army were made from three different directions.

The military units of the army of Serbia yesterday deployed their military and gendarmerie capacities across the 48 front operational bases, which are located along the border line with the Republic of Kosovo.

"The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is following the latest developments with attention and vigilance regarding the movement of the military units of the Armed Forces of Serbia in the direction of the border line with the Republic of Kosovo.

The movements of the Serbian army were made from three different directions; units of the second brigade of the Serbian army have moved from the direction of Rashka towards the northern border of our country; the units of the Third Brigade of the Serbian army have moved from the Region of Nis towards the north-eastern border of our country and the units of the Fourth Brigade have moved from the Region of Vranje towards the eastern border of the Republic of Kosovo.

The military units of the Serbian army yesterday deployed their military and gendarmerie capacities across 48 forward operational bases, which are located along the border line with the Republic of Kosovo, a few kilometers deep into the territory of Serbia. This deployment also includes the deployment of anti-aircraft systems and heavy artillery.

"Many times we have raised concern about the existence of these 48 forward bases of the Serbian army and gendarmerie and we have emphasized the already proven fact that these bases serve to support possible military aggression against the Republic of Kosovo".

Official Prishtina announces that it is in constant contact with the US and the EU regarding these movements of the Serbian army.

Pas dështimit të sulmit të armatosur me formacionet para-ushtarake të udhëhequra nga Milan Radoiçiç, marshimi dhe vendosja e trupave ushtarake serbe përgjatë kufirit me Kosovën është hapi i radhës i institucioneve të Serbisë për të kërcënuar integritetin territorial të vendit tonë dhe gjithashtu prezencën ushtarake ndërkombëtare në Republikën e Kosovës. Institucionet e Republikës së Kosovës në bashkërendim me partnerët ndërkombëtar janë më të vendosura se kurrë që me çdo kusht të mbrojnë tërësinë territoriale, të ruajnë sovranitetin, rendin kushtetues, rendin publik dhe jetën e qytetarëve të vendit tonë”./ CNA
