After SPAK investigations, 3 directors of Tirana Municipality were arrested. Mariglen Qato, former director of Support Services at UKT Tirana, and Redi Molla, former director of Tirana Water and Sewerage, were arrested by the police.

Meanwhile, another arrest warrant was issued for Taulant Tusha, who was earlier behind bars after the investigation into the Tirana incinerator.

Other measures were given to other directors of Tirana Municipality, Eglantina Zeren, former director of "Tirana Parking", today director of Greening in Tirana. Another measure has been decided against her, "Suspension of the exercise of a duty or public service".

The "obligation to appear" measures have been given to Enton Punavijë, current Director of Traffic and Transport in the capital, Debora Keçin, Director of "Tirana Sports Club", Julian Zanaj, functionary at Public Procurement, Albano Janku, engineer at the company and for businessman Nestor Muhamellari.

But these are not the first arrests that have been made in the Municipality of Tirana after SPAK investigations.

At the beginning of December, SPAK issued 15 arrest warrants after investigations into the Tirana incinerator. Erjon Murataj, Bledar Karoli, Head of the Procurement Sector at the Ministry of Environment, Taulant Tusha, Namik Simixhiu and Jetmir Llapaj were arrested by the police.

"House arrest" measures were given to Alba Thoma, Director of the Legal Directorate of the Ministry of Environment, Valbona Ballgjin, Sidita Koplik, Pëllumb Abeshi, Etleva Kondi and Sidita Tola.

After being called to SPAK to account for his involvement in the Tirana incinerator affair, Erion Veliaj no longer beats his chest in front of his directors, saying that he is under control of SPAK and is inviolable.
