Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced a major institutional reform that he wants to call "pro-European". So, independent institutions must be reformed, must follow the path to the European Union.

A very beautiful tale, especially when its screenwriter is an Enverist like Fatmir Xhafaj or a funny, useful idiot like Eduart Shalsi.

But, they cannot do it alone, it is clear that the will of the Prime Minister, of the majority, and several commissions have been set up, a special commission that has taken the sword against SPAK or another that wants to attack the KLSH or other institutions independent with non-existent issues or nonsense that they invent on the way without thinking it through.

But can these Rilindash MPs make this reform even "pro-European"?

Can Fatmir Xhafaj make a 'pro-European' reform?

One can call him a technician and a good parliamentary lawyer with experience, in fact with problems and conflicts in a pure conflict of interest with SPAK.  He is the man who drafted the Justice Reform. If it has failed and done badly, Fatmir Xhafaj must accept the failure and leave.

Why can't these Rilindash MPs do the "pro-European" reform?
Fatmir Xhafaj

Can Eduard Shalsi make the debate about KLSH, about other independent institutions?

There are many doubts. The man who publicly declared that he would not steal like when the democrats were in power, in fact when the Renaissance came, he not only stole, but what he did not rob Albania.

Let's leave the political accusations, maybe the prejudices, but can such a reform, which should be constitutional, be done by deputies who after 6 months will no longer have mandates?

The question is very simple: How can Enverists, runaway MPs, charlatans in politics make "pro-European" reforms, whom Edi Rama will no longer keep as MPs but has put them in open lists to prove how much is the skin worth it?

And these are the ones who should make us constitutional reforms? But when there are so many wise and capable men, why don't they keep them but want to remove them?

A Constitutional Reform, an unquestionably "pro-European" reform that is needed to follow the steps required by the EU, but the recommendations must be made in cooperation with the opposition, with a different political spirit. Why not an integration commission, the parliament is run by the opposition, maybe it should be broader than that.

In fact, they create several commissions to make a reform where most of these deputies will no longer be. According to the data obtained from the position-opposition negotiations, the elections will be held at the beginning of May, the campaign should last 45 days, it should start somewhere in the middle of March.

So, in reality, the majority of those people who seek to make constitutional reforms, "pro-European" reforms, or to attack or not to attack constitutional institutions, still have their parliamentary mandates for about 6 months. Those who want to attack SPAK, KLSH or other independent institutions.

How can it? People whose term ends, people who are being removed from the list as incompetent, to hit institutions with constitutional mandates?  How can people who have failed the Reform of Justice take other reforms in their hands when they have not known how to get the hair out of the porridge?

The calculation is quite simple.

Edi Rama has given 187 names on the list, 40 of them will be young and some MPs who have important functional duties, Blendi Klosi and Taulant Balla declared themselves as General Secretary and the latter as Secretary for the Diaspora, the others they will be young, said the Prime Minister. The other 140 names, including Shalsin, Xhafajn & CO, will be on the open lists.

Those vice-chairmen of the commissions and others, what are they, as representatives where they have been taken by the SP, the majority will no longer be because they will not be able to receive mandates, after the total list according to the calculations made with the partially open lists, there are no more left than 26 places to compete, discounting here the 9 elected in the districts, the leaders of the districts who win do not remain in the list more than a total number of 17 people, including some others who come easily from somewhere, most of those who are in parliament, representatives of these famous commissions will no longer be MPs.

How can the fate of constitutional changes and Albania's European path be left in the hands of those who are fleeing, in the hands of those who do not know whether they will vote or not, although it is certain that most will not turn out, Eduart Shalsi, Ermonela Felaj & CO will have performed work in the next parliamentary season, they will have retired politically.

Rama can take heads of institutions, but they will no longer be in parliament to make reforms.

Therefore the question arises: What do these individuals who are fleeing today represent?

Can the future be left in the hands of the fugitives? Can the future be left in the hands of those who are not voted by the people?

Therefore, we are facing another very important fact. That the reforms that are being attempted by the fledgling majority, with people fleeing from the parliament, will be as failed as the other two.

Perhaps someone can bring the argument that Fatmir Xhafaj won in the 2021 elections even though he was not on the safe list. Yes , he won with the deputies of the "5D" file, that's why he is leading a commission to attack SPAK, but now Erion Veliaj will have no one to give him votes in Tirana and it is not that they will control the capital and socialists, the head of the Municipality will be able to control it, as he did 4 years ago.

We have different situations and different political circumstances, which means that Xhafaj is also in danger of not being there anymore because Erion Veliaj will not know where to distribute those pieces of votes that will remain.

Therefore, we are faced with the fact that the fugitives, those who left, those who failed, those who did not vote, in a few weeks and months will have the flag of constitutional reforms for independent institutions and their path towards the European Union and the country.

Isn't this a shame, without adding to the soup that was recently cooked in the parliament with these runaway deputies who overturned the decisions of the Constitutional Court?

Runaways can never be the ones who show the way of the future. Runaways are the ones who pave the way for young people and the future and not to look back but to move forward because runaways are only for the past and the past. Therefore, the reforms with the refugees will simply and only leave us behind, will leave us in the past./ CNA
