Internationals that don't

The parliamentary inquiry was the only power outside the government's control. It was. Because now it isn't anymore.

Today Edi Rama is the government. Edi Rama is the Parliament. He is also the President, the prosecutor, the judge. It was even the FBI. So Mr. Rama is everything.

Some optimists say that it cannot be SPAK. Others say it is only partially. While the pessimists think that Mr. Rama is also SPAK. But what does it matter? SPAK cannot be the opposition.

The pillars of the rule of law are collapsing one by one. And everything goes by with a normalcy and indifference that is terrifying. What comes next need not be predicted at all. History tells us. Unlimited power has also corrupted the Popes in the Vatican.

A part of the opposition, the one led by Mr. Basha, verbally says that it is against the usurpation of the parliamentary investigation. But that's all. Because on the other hand, he thinks that parliamentary life should continue normally.

Another part of the opposition, which are the small parties, do not feel at all. Or they are afraid to feel. If they all say that we are in opposition to the government, there is a very simple question. Who is the government taking the investigative commissions from?

Taulant Ballas? Chuchi blend? Damian Gjiknuri? No. The opposition is getting it. Including that part of the opposition that believes or likes to believe that the country is normal. And through them he is taking it from the citizens.

However, this country has seen a lot of opposition. He has seen opposition with weapons, opposition without weapons. The opposition that speaks, the opposition that is silent. The opposition in Karpërte has also seen it. Now he is looking at internationals who do not want to be with the opposition. Or more precisely, international ones that do not stand up when the opposition is violated.

The internationals are silent. Just as they were silent when the majority took at least 5 MPs to the table unilaterally changing the June 5 agreement. They don't lie.

Maybe they think that with their silence they are "killing" Non Grata. Or they believe that SPAK will preserve democracy with Duman. But this is backwards. If democracies were protected by police and prosecutors, Enver Hoxha's Albania would be the most democratic country in the world.
