Incinerators, in lethargic sleep

Incinerators are the affair of the century, which has extorted and devoured hundreds of millions in Albanian taxes.

An affair that begins in Elbasan, where we simply have an oil boiler, extends to Fier with an incinerator that has not been completed and has not been put into operation, and ends in Tirana, where the incinerator simply does not exist and the capital is on the verge of a catastrophe.

The biggest affair is that of the Tirana incinerator, as we have an investment of hundreds of millions of euros, but the incinerator does not exist, it is simply a huge mountain of garbage that is on the verge of disaster. 

The report on this affair was made in 2021 and now we are in 2026, so 5 years have passed since the investigation into this affair and the case is still not closed.

The investigation file of this affair is in the hands of a prosecutor who has chosen to sleep on the incinerators' file, Dritan Prençi.

In the Tirana incinerator case, Dritan Prençi built a structured criminal group for the latter only when he saw that investigative media like CNA or the opposition's reports on this affair would not be stopped.

The prosecutor who is sleeping on the Tirana incinerator file and has turned into a lawyer for the affair, even though he has the documents and evidence before his eyes, has been extorting for years and has not issued a decision on the Tirana incinerator, or on the implication of the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

For this reason, we have shown prosecutor Dritan Prençi, with facts and evidence, the involvement of Erion Veliaj in the Tirana incinerator affair.

The first document is the one in which Erion Veliaj responds to Alqi Bllako and Lefter Koka, agreeing to the price of 29 euros/ton for waste.

The second document is 60 million euros for the land, a document that is again signed by Erion Veliaj's directors and brings about 60 million euros into the company's pockets, other money that is paid by the business, but is actually billed to citizens as costs for purchasing apartments or various works that are being carried out.

An agreement can be signed between the company and the mayor, but in this case, Erioni did not sign it himself, he had his subordinates sign it, who also used the seal of the Municipality of Tirana.

But prosecutor Dritan Prençi will not see these documents and facts, which would at least lead to an indictment for the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

Dritan Prençi has not dared to call Erion Veliaj even once to ask him at least about these two facts or to raise even one accusation against Mayor Erion Veliaj.

Another question that arises is why Dritan Prençi does not add the evidence found on Ajola Xoxa's computer to the incinerators' file, a scandal and scheme that CNA has unraveled with documents and facts.

Despite all the facts found and denounced by CNA, explaining the connection from Ajola Xoxa to Erion Veliaj, the scheme linking "MEG Albania" with the Tirana incinerator, Dritan Prençi is asleep.

It is the same Dritan Prençi who is portrayed as a hawk in other files.
