On October 21, the Speaker of the Assembly Lindita Nikolla held a meeting in New York with the members of Vatra, the Albanian-American organization.

But during this meeting, a serious incident took place. Activist Agustin Mirakaj, at the same time head of Vatra's branch in Manhattan, has denounced on social networks that he was raped.

He stated that some commandos physically attacked him and his wife to prevent them from meeting.

Mirakaj has published a video of the incident on his social networks, calling it an ugly and very serious act.

"Notice to all Vatrani! Today, 10/21/23, Vatra's Manhattan Branch also participated in Vatra's meeting with the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Lindita Nikolli.

At the entrance of Vatra, commandos physically attacked and raped the head of the Vatra Manhattan Branch Agustin Mirakaj and his wife to prevent them from entering the meeting.
