Scandalous agreement / Albanian government transfers Blue Eye water to Greece?

Democratic Party MP, Ina Zhupa, has made strong accusations today against the Government.

In a post on social networks, Zhupa writes that “ To transfer the water of the underground source of the Blue Eye to Greece, this could be the next irresponsibility and madness of the Rama Government! ”

According to Zhupa, such a news was announced by the Greek media ERT NEWS, according to which an agreement is being prepared between Greece and Albania to intervene in the Blue Eye in Saranda and to transfer the purified groundwater to Greece. .

Kryetari i Bashkisë së Korfuzit të Veriut, George Machimaris ka ngritur sërish çështjen e transferimit të ujit nga Shqipëria: “Me ndjenjën e përgjegjshmërisë ndaj shoqërisë sonë, ndaj vizitorëve tanë, ne i jemi nënshtruar një propozimi/memorandumi teknik për furnizimin me ujë me transferim burimi nga SYRI I KALTËR i Shqipërisë fqinje, duke marrë në konsideratë dhe shfrytëzuar përvojën e tubacionit nëndetësor që lidh ujësjellësin e Aeginës me EYDAP në Salaminë, përvojën e akumuluar të pushtetit vendor dhe studime ekzistuese si ai i Politeknikut (1991).”

Blue Eye is a natural park and has the status of protected area since 2002. Works, pipelines, interventions would be categorically prohibited and to the detriment of this cultural heritage.

Saranda, Delvina, other cities suffer from a lack of drinking water but have never considered such an illegal intervention in the Blue Eye.

How could one think that this illegal intervention was made to supply Greece ?! ” - writes Zhupa./ CNA.al
