The National Theatre, through a post on its official website, has expressed its condolences for the passing of director Dhimitër Anagnosti.

In the message of condolence, the institution writes that the well-known filmmaker was a dedicated, visionary man who gave light to the Albanian screen and left behind a permanent legacy in our popular culture.

 

"With deep sorrow we received the news of the passing of Dhimitër Anagnosti, the great master of Albanian cinematography.
He was not only a distinguished director, but a personality of our national culture, a visionary who gave light to the Albanian screen and raised film art to new artistic levels.
Film after film, Anagnosti created works that became permanent treasures of our cultural memory – stories told with mastery, emotional depth and a high sense of artistic responsibility. Through him, Albanian cinema gained dignity, identity and a voice that was heard beyond borders.
Dhimitër Anagnosti was a rare example of dedication, love for art and faith in the power of cinema to reflect the soul of a nation.
With his departure, Albania lost a great artist, but eternally gained a golden legacy that will continue to inspire entire generations.
Today we pay tribute to him with endless gratitude, "Remembered as one of the strongest pillars of our culture.
