About 10 thousand entries and exits/ Increased flow this weekend at Kakavija

This weekend, an increased flow has been recorded at the Kakavija customs counters. The situation is due to the numerous movements at the exit, as Albanian immigrants return to the Greek state after the summer holidays.

According to the Border Police in Kakavija, 9,527 citizens were processed at entry and exit, of which 3,841 at entry and 5,686 at exit.

Also, 3,107 vehicles were registered at the entrance and exit, of which 1,265 were inbound and 1,842 were outbound.

According to information, the Border Police works with 3 counters at the entrance and 4 at the exit. Due to the influx, the Greek side has also accelerated the procedures for document control at the Greek customs counters.

The last days of August are typically accompanied by increased movement and influx at the country's customs, from movements by citizens and vehicles on both sides of the border with Greece./CNA
