The Municipality of Vlora has shared this Monday an announcement regarding the coastal combat exercises and firings that will take place on June 24th and 25th by Military Unit No. 2030 - Southern Maritime District.

As is being informed to citizens, fishermen, tourist operators, private entities and users of vessels, the arming of ships will be carried out in the Bristan-Kepi i Gjuhëzës area.

To guarantee the safety of life and avoid any incident, during the development of military activity, the navigation of any maritime vehicle, including fishing vessels, tourist vessels, speedboats and other floating vehicles within the designated area is strictly prohibited; the presence and movement of unauthorized persons in the coastal areas affected by the activity; the exercise of fishing activities and tourist activities in the security perimeter during the dates of the shootings.

The coordinates of the security zone are:

* 40°25'00” W – 19°18'00” L

* 40°25'00” W – 19°12'00” L

* 40°20'00” W – 19°15'00” L

* 40°20'00” W – 19°22'00” L

The Municipality of Vlora suggests avoiding any movement or activity within the defined perimeter on Tuesday and Wednesday. /CNA
