The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of stealing 200 million euros from Albanian taxpayers when he was mayor.

Berisha stated that the series of files weighing on Rama is as heavy as Mount Dajti.

"The powerful peaceful uprising or the most powerful peaceful protest known in history can be called the 'weekend' of the diaspora, of those who traveled thousands and thousands of kilometers and joined their compatriots for the removal of the authoritarian regime."

This magnificent act has filled the hearts of Albanians and the Albanian nation with faith and hope.

With their decision and participation, our compatriots from the diaspora, the overwhelming majority members and supporters of the Democratic Party, chose to support the civic protest for the overthrow of Edi Rama, the Albanian-speaking dictator.

The epic manifestation and siege of the epicenter of crime is a historic achievement that makes the rule of Rama and his mafia in Albania completely hopeless.

My call to every democrat, to every supporter of the Democratic Party, to continue the most powerful protest the country has known in the great mission of salvation for the country and the nation, the immediate removal of Edi Rama, who is burdened by a mountain of corruption files, who is burdened by acts of the highest treason against the Albanian people, who are burdened by terrible thefts from them.

In 2014 alone, Rama was accused of having deposited 200 million euros stolen from Albanian taxpayers offshore as a former mayor.
