Tensions have been registered again today at the Vlora airport. According to reports, employees of "MABCO" have entered the construction site and have attempted to remove those of "2A Group" of Valon Ademi from the office. It is reported that the police are also at the scene. Meanwhile, there is still no reaction from the parties involved in the conflict regarding today's clash.

A day ago, Behgjet Pacolli, in a reaction on social networks, stated that MABCO, together with over 200 specialists from its subcontractors, will resume work at the Vlora Airport construction site.

According to him, this step is being taken in full compliance with the decision of the Supreme Court and the decision of the VIA Shareholders' Assembly, dated 18/06/2026 "as well as in respect of the request of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy (MIE) and the position publicly expressed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, that Vlora Airport should not fall prey to narrow interests or illegal actions of anyone, but should be completed as soon as possible and opened for operation".

Pacolli also wrote that the start of the works marks the restoration of legality and respect for the decisions of legal and competent institutions, paving the way for the continuation of works on one of the country's most important infrastructure projects.

On June 5, the Tirana Court of First Instance decided to freeze the current situation of the company VIA sh.pk, until a final decision is made. According to the decision, any decision-making, legal action or registration that changes or exercises rights over a quota ownership ratio different from the one resulting from the Quota Sale and Purchase Agreement, according to which Mabco owns 51% of the quotas and 2A Group owns 49%.

Among other things, the suspension of the meeting of the 06.06.2026 Assembly of VIA Partners has been decided and prohibiting the dismissal of the current administrator, Vegim Hoxha, as well as the appointment, election or designation of another administrator.
The partner in VIA, Mabco Construction Company, is also obliged to maintain the legal, corporate and administrative status of the company unchanged until the final resolution of the dispute with a final decision. /CNA
