The incident with the protester removing the flag / The Israeli ambassador in Tirana reacts

The Israeli Ambassador to our country, Galit Peleg, has reacted to the incident that occurred during yesterday evening's protest where the flag at the Israeli embassy was removed.

In her reaction to "X", Peleg writes that an act of this nature not only does not advance public protest, but shames the Albanian people.

Among other things, she thanked Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha for condemning the act.

"Last night in Tirana, protesters removed the Israeli flag and tore it down to the cheers of the crowd gathered at the scene. As an ambassador of a democratic state, I believe in the right of the Albanian people to exercise their civic right to protest. However, an act of this nature not only fails to advance public protest, but also shames the Albanian people and their proud heritage. I thank Ferit Hoxha for the immediate and clear condemnation of this act ," the ambassador's post reads.
