The shadow of SPAK has fallen on another high functionary of the governing majority. Kapitali has learned that the Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime has officially charged Socialist MP Plarent Ndreca.

Sources told Kapital that Ndreca has been informed of the accusation, which is related to the investigations for the tenders for the reconstruction of the police stations.

In 2019, Mr. Ndreca was appointed Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior. At that time, this ministry developed several tenders for the reconstruction of police stations in different districts of the country. But these tenders were covered with strong suspicions of corruption.

The issue was brought to the public for the first time by an audit of the SSC, after which the auditing body also reported to SPAK.

Two days ago, SPAK prosecutors interrogated the former Minister of the Interior, Sandër Lleshaj, for more than 1 and a half hours. According to reports, Lleshaj was summoned in the capacity of a person who has knowledge of the issue of tenders under investigation by SPAK.

But if Lleshaj has been summoned as a person in the know, his former general secretary seems to be in a more difficult position in relation to the SPAK investigation. /Kapital.al
