Businesses and services around the world are gradually returning to normal after a cyber problem affected computer systems for several hours on Thursday and Friday.
Businesses, banks, hospitals and airlines are the most affected, after a system update, launched by the cyber security company Crowdstrike, went wrong and consequently affected the Microsoft Windows system.
Crowdstrike has apologized for the complications and said the problem has been fixed, but admitted it will take time until all the work is done.
CrowdStrike, an American company, is among the most popular companies in the world, which has more than 20,000 subscribers.
It creates systems to protect customers' devices from computer viruses.
Airlines have reported thousands of canceled flights and operators said Saturday they expected delays to continue into the weekend.
Some health services in Britain, Israel and Germany could not be provided.
The global chaos has raised concerns about the vulnerability of the world's interconnected technology, and the scale of the problem that could cause a problem in updating just one such widespread system./ REL
