The candidate of the SP for the Municipality of Himara, Vangjel Tavo, in a long comment on social networks, has promised that he will be committed to providing solutions to all the problems of the city of Himara.

Tavo emphasizes that what he asks for Himara is only a solution.

The SP candidate also emphasized that he is ready to cooperate with anyone who aims for our country's membership in the EU.

He extended the hand of cooperation to MEP Fredi Beleri, saying that he will not indulge in personal attacks, but will commit himself that comprehensive cooperation, with MEP Fredi Beleri, as well as with any other institution or person, is a necessity in favor and for the good. of Himara, of the Greeks of Albania and of normal relations between Greece and Albania.

Statement of Vangjel Tavos

The elections for the Municipality of Himara are an opportunity to unite us and provide solutions to the problems and needs of the community.

Our common challenge is only to work to fulfill every need of the families and the entire Himarjot community.

I have always faced difficulties and successfully succeeded in solving problems and meeting the needs of residents. I have always carried out this mission and service, and I have this goal for Himara, engaging with all my skills and energies, with an inclusiveness of social and political factors, uniting the inhabitants of Himara, regardless of origin, religion or belief partisan.

On Sunday, August 4, we do not have a political referendum but an election for the future of Himara. They are CHOICES for SOLUTIONS. For the immediate start of work to improve the lives of the residents and the development and progress of Himara.

SOLUTIONS to the real living needs of the residents and the community, without wasting energy on non-existent dilemmas and false hypotheses.

I have visited and will continue to visit every village, every resident, and every community, listening with interest and seriousness to all proposals, with the aim of co-drafting our program, statute and public contract between the Municipality and the residents, for the development of Himara today and in the future.

No action will be taken and no decision will be made without the approval of the residents and legitimate institutions.

Together we will win the battle for a democratic, contemporary, European, multicultural Himara, developed, green, with standards for residents, visitors and tourists, for the growth of an economy that directly affects the budget of simple families.

For a Himara that will attract investments, in tourism, in the service sector, in infrastructure, in culture and others. For a Himara that will bring back to their country our countrymen, qualified professionals, successful businessmen and specialized employees who today are scattered in other countries. Their experience is invaluable at all levels to build the Himara of the future.

For a Himara without external or internal masters. For a comprehensive Himara that belongs to the residents. For Himara of harmony and dialogue, democracy and cooperation.

My accountability will be ONLY to the residents of Himara.

In the August 4 elections for the Mayor of Himara, I have a clear focus and objective. In my long political and administrative career, my mission has been and will continue to be serving people, citizens and solving their problems.

I feel privileged to serve the Himyaryotes. The Himara are a people with a glorious history and they have a legitimate right to be proud of their ancestors. The Himarjots have their own identity and Himara belongs to the Himarjots. This truth must be respected by all. And this will always be my institutional and personal principle, serving Himara as best as possible.

RESOLVING THE ISSUES WHICH HAVE CONCERNED THE HIMARJOTS

My current and future focus will be the solution of the issues that have worried and continue to worry the residents of the municipality of Himara, problems that are already known not only as residents' concerns, but that these issues have become known to the entire public as well. Albanian public and beyond.

Issues that occasionally crossed the borders of the municipality of Himara and became interstate problems that consequently created a cooling of diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries. That will be my focus. SOLUTION.

I have stood out throughout my political career as a man who never creates conflicts. On the contrary, I have shown that I always find solutions and extinguish conflicts. This is proven by anyone who has known me, who has collaborated with me or even who has heard about my political and humanitarian work and will.

I live according to the principle that every problem, when there is desire and will, is solvable. Solving problems is exactly the primary goal of my work. I will treat every problem of the Himarjot community with the greatest seriousness and give a solution, so that it does not worsen and become part of the crisis again like in the past.

I have never lacked the will to create a life without worries and conflicts in the community, but unfortunately there has been a lack of will on the part of a certain group who want to create conflicts, or, to exploit the legitimate grievances created in the Himarjot community, to exploit them for the interests of some and to make these conflicts even bigger.

This will end because the problem will no longer exist, the problems will be solved and I guarantee this to every Himarjoti individually and to the entire Himara community as a whole.

The Himara are a people with a glorious history, proud of their ancestors. The Himarjots have the right to be indignant when "designated" people misuse Himara and insult the identity of the Himarjots. HIMARA IS OF THE HIMARJOTS.

The people of Himara are not interested in creating problems, but they are interested in getting their properties, getting the certificates, under a process that we have started and will finish very soon. They are interested in solving the problems they have.

And I assure you that after August 4, Himara will have a lawyer of her own in every institution of this state.

From Monday, August 5, we will roll up our sleeves and start work. We don't have time to waste even a single day. I promise you that we will request all the necessary funds from the central government and from possible European funds.

As the mayor of the Municipality of Himara, I promise you that the door of my office will always be open to all residents and I will accept in my office any MEP who is ready and willing to support the membership processes of our country, but also for provide valuable European resources for Himara.

I believe in cooperation as the key to success. I commit that the comprehensive cooperation, with the MEP Fredi Beleri, as well as with any other institution or person, is a necessity in favor and for the good of Himara, the Greeks of Albania and the normal relations between Greece and Albania.

I will not engage in personal attacks, I will not deal with actions and behaviors of the past that kept Himara in the place count. We don't have the time or the luxury, because we have to focus on solving the problems that are ahead of us and that await us in the future.

There is no more room for those who wag their finger and give political lectures, while making careers relying on personal strategies and reaping private profits, for those who divide the Minority and instead of serving the community they serve their narrow clans and few friends!

I challenge them by inviting them to a public televised debate, not about yesterday but about the future of the Municipality of Himara, even though unfortunately they do not have a concrete program, vision and real promises for the future of Himara, because they only ask you for one blank check to have the Municipality as loot for their benefits.

But you, with your vote, will choose the future, well-being, harmony and development in Himara.

There are those who are driven by personal arrogance, claiming to be above other residents. I am also part of the Greek Ethnic Minority, but I have never valued myself above anyone else. I serve the residents with modesty and humility, without even a single distinction.

FULL AND FINAL SETTLEMENT OF PROPERTY MATTER

The Himarjots have the right of God to enjoy their wonderful riviera, their properties. Let anyone forget that any square meter of the inhabitants of Himara can benefit from the signature of Vangjel Tavos. This will never happen.

No one will occupy the property of the Himarjots. No one who tries to occupy their property has and will never have the door of Himara Municipality open and never the signature, support and will of Vangjel Tavos. However, my door will be open to all legal foreign or local investors, who, with their money, will serve the development and economy of the inhabitants of Himara, but without infringing even a palm of the property of the Himarjots.

I will not tolerate anyone who abuses the properties of the Himarjots. I encourage the Himarjots themselves to invest in their land and property, with my full support and that of the Himara Municipality, after receiving the ownership certificates, a process that ends in October and when every Himarjot will be equipped with the ownership certificate.

Himarjots should enjoy what belongs to them. The main problem of the properties they had is being solved and will end once and for all at the end of this October when the last Himarjoti will receive the ownership certificate.

Solving the ownership problem is not an electoral promise and I do not want it to be part of the electoral campaign. This is an issue that should have been resolved 30 years ago. Governments have come and gone, other governments have returned and come, and again this problem has not been solved. But now this issue has come to an end. While ownership certificates have not been issued for 30 years, in just two months we distributed 1226 certificates and there are still 400 more that have been completed in the last few days.

This is a process that continues day by day and is unstoppable until the end in the month of October, where at these rates the delivery of over 4,200 ownership certificates is expected. There will be no Himarjot who applied and did not receive the ownership certificate. This is not a promise, but a fact.

Prime Minister Rama himself came to personally deliver the ownership certificates, and this to encourage residents to apply, and that has worked, as hundreds of applications are being made today. This was an idea, a commitment and persistence of the Prime Minister, and I, as the person in charge of coordinating the work and speeding up this process, feel happy, just like those who already received the ownership certificates, but also like those who will receive them in the days and weeks ahead.
