Draft Law on the State Police/ Debates in the Security Committee

The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, reported today to the Commission for National Security on the Draft Law on the State Police.
Balla said that this draft law has gone through a consultation process by independent institutions and a detailed analysis has been carried out.
Balla emphasized that any space for corrupt activities in the organization of the State Police should be eliminated.
The minister underlined that this draft law has received the support of all partners and has been evaluated by independent institutions as a deep reform.

This law will enable us to address these organisms to complete the structures, to strengthen the existing structures.
We must prevent any form of conflict of interest and eliminate any space for corrupt activities in the organization of the State Police", said Balla./ CNA
