Draft Law on the State Police/ Debates in the Security Committee

The Commission for National Security has started with debates. Ferdinand Xhaferri complained that he was not informed in time about the holding of this meeting where the approval of the draft law for the State Police is requested.

He said that this is a desecration of the commission, which should be an important instrument that should review this bill.

"The problem is the way we examine this bill that has 142 articles. The materials were made available to us yesterday. The commission is the instrument that should review the draft law and we are in an inferior position compared to the government. We only have 2 advisers, we were informed only two days before about this committee, what we are doing today does not happen anywhere in the plan that for an important draft law the relevant committee is notified two days before. This is completely unacceptable", said Xhaferri. / CNA
