The tower in Shkodër causes anger/ Protest is called for July 22

A tower with 30-40 floors will be erected in the heart of Shkodra, this project was presented this Tuesday with the participation of the mayor Benet Beci and the prime minister Edi Rama.

The construction of this tower has caused anger and debate not only in politics, but also in public opinion.

For this reason, a protest against its construction has been called.

The municipal councilor of the DP in Shkodër, Imeldi Sokoli, has announced on social networks that the protest will take place at 19:00 on July 22, at "Mother Teresa" square.

"The tower is not cool in Shkodra.

I invite all friends to join us in this march against the concretization of our city.

Two days ago, the Government and the Municipality of Shkodra presented the project of a 100-meter high tower which is expected to be built in the heart of the city. Faced with the fact carried out at a time when public hearings are needed for such large projects, concerned about the urban and architectural damage that this tower warns of threatening Shkodra, outraged by the non-respect by the institutions of our right to the city and the space we live in, we invite you to join us in the protest, on Monday, July 22, at 7:00 p.m., at "Mother Teresa" square," writes Sokoli./ CNA
