GJKKO accepts "summary trial" for Vangjush Dako

On Friday, the Special Court accepted a summary trial for the former head of the Durrës Municipality, Vangjush Dako. 

Dako is accused of having committed the criminal offense of "abuse of duty", in two cases, and if he is proven guilty, he will be reduced to 1/3 of the sentence with a shortened trial.

The request for summary judgment was also accepted for Fiqiri Farruk, Fatmir Ejupin and Adrian Bulk. Meanwhile, for the rest, the process will continue with ordinary judgment.

Vangjush Dako was arrested on June 6, 2023 by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office and was released after 9 months of detention, specifically on February 27, 2024 after the terms of detention expired and he was placed under house arrest with 24-hour police supervision./ CNA
