Heavy rainfall in Korça region/ Here's how the situation looks by

This Tuesday's heavy rainfall was accompanied by strong winds and, in some areas, hail, in the territory of Korça District.

More specifically, according to municipalities, the following situations have been reported:

Municipality of Maliq

As a result of intense rainfall and strong winds, trees have fallen on vehicles in the village of Rëmbec and the town of Maliqi. The Fire and Rescue Station forces intervened immediately, neutralizing the situations. According to preliminary information, hailstorms have been recorded in the village of Orman, but so far no damage to agricultural crops has been reported.

Municipality of Kolonja

In the village of Kamnik, Barma Administrative Unit, the rainfall was accompanied by hail. From communication with local structures, no damage or problems have been reported.

Devoll Municipality

As a result of intense rainfall, accompanied by strong winds, a tree (poplar) fell on the road axis towards the village of Progër, temporarily blocking traffic. The Fire and Rescue Station forces intervened immediately, removed the obstacle and restored normal traffic.

Municipality of Pogradec

So far, no damage or problems have been reported as a result of the weather conditions.

Municipality of Pustec

Power outages are reported in four villages. OSHEE employees are on site and are working to repair the fault. No other problems are reported.

Korca Municipality

No problems or emergencies have been reported so far. The situation appears calm and continues to be monitored./CNA
