Prime Minister Edi Rama's book titled "At the Moon's Table" was promoted today. During his speech at the promotion, Rama said that his Muslim friends were an impetus for writing the book.

Among other things, he shared the reasons why he chose not to present the book at the book fair, even though it was ready at the time.

Rama also announced that the book's foreword was written by the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

"It was the impetus of some Muslim friends to collect these words in this book. Today I wanted to do the presentation in a modest way. I did not want to release the book at the fair because I did not want it to cause an undeserved attraction for those who find the fair very important.

For me, the last remaining word carver on the boulevard of Tirana is here with us, Aurel Plasari. Proof that the iftar table brings us together beyond what divides us on the boulevard. I am grateful for the experience of these iftars that has enriched me and encouraged me to delve deeper into the approach, the word, the culture of Islam. I believe that beyond religious coexistence lies a treasure trove of cultures that come from religion here to us and deserve our admiration and respect.

"People can be helped to see religion beyond prejudices and stereotypes, especially when it comes to Islam. We are working on establishing an Islamic museum. It will be built in the former Toptan palaces near the Tirana Castle, next to the parliament. The foreword to the book was written by the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan ," Rama said. /CNA
