The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted after the news that Burim Duraku, arrested for the murder of a woman in Greece, has been released from prison after the detention terms were exceeded.

In strong tones, Berisha writes that the release of the killer is a criminal consequence of the pseudo-justice reform.

Burim Duraku, perpetrator of murder and several violent robberies, is released from detention for exceeding the legal deadline.

Të dashur miq, këto ditë u lirua nga burgu, Burim Duraku, i arrestuar në vitin 2019 me bujë të madhe me akuzen për vrasje me dashje të një personi dhe për disa plaçkitje me dhunë. Burimi është thjesht vrasësi i radhës që lirohet pas kalimit të afatit të paraburgimit, për tejkalim të këtij afati pa përfunduar hetimet. Ndodh kjo sepse kriminelët paguajnë që të mos “preket” dosja e tyre apo sepse prokurorët të stërngaruar, e kanë të pamundur të shqyrtojnë dosjet brenda afatit maksimal ligjor që duhet hetuar, kjo duhet hetuar. Por ky është bërë një fenoman i përsëritur.
