Protesters' demands/Activist: The ultimatum to the Prime Minister was not

Activist Andi Tepelena, in a live statement for the "Now" show with Erla Mëhilli, said that there is no ultimatum to Prime Minister Rama.

Tepelena said that the ultimatum was not initiated by the protest coordination group.

The activist said that Rama will be forced to resign and listen to the will of the people.

Further, in his statement, the activist indicated that the interest groups in the protest will create a citizen assembly with representatives that will serve as a technical government.

" We, the coordination group, took a first step today. We have not issued an ultimatum to Prime Minister Edi Rama. There is a cacophony of messages on social networks, but this is a decentralized, horizontal movement, composed of hundreds of social groups. The ultimatum was not initiated by the protest coordination group. This is a process until he resigns. It will be a long, somewhat tiring process, but there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Edi Rama will be forced to resign and listen to the popular will. This square will serve as a storehouse of ideas. This square is represented by various interest groups such as the economy, laws, security, the environment, culture and others. These interest groups will consult among themselves, will select representatives and we will create a citizens' assembly, which will contain representatives of these interest groups. It will be a process as democratic as possible, where every citizen and every interest group will be included, where they will bring the problems they have and the respective solutions. It will be a laboratory ideas, in addition to the demand for the non-negotiable resignation of the Prime Minister. We will mainly be oriented towards non-partisan people at this stage, which will serve the function of a technical government that we ask to be non-partisan, at least for a period of one year, to make a proper electoral code and for the old and new parties to reform within a year. We do not take attempts at division seriously. All citizens are invited here, regardless of political affiliation. The religion of Albanians is Albanianism. Any attempt at division is futile and will fail. People are in the square every day, and tomorrow there will be a protest by the unions. Every day there will be innovations that will strengthen the protest, to achieve the objective of 1 million Albanians taking to the square. And then there will be no Rama to face 1 million Albanians who will be there to demand his resignation. This will be a moment when all of Albania will be in the square for "I have asked for his resignation, and it will not be far off. Albanian citizens must have faith. This is a process of no return ," said Tepelena.
