Journalist: Very serious European investigations into important names in power

Journalist Basir Çollaku said today that according to some information he has, there are very serious European investigations into important names in power and politics in Albania.

Speaking in the "Syri TV" studio, Çollaku said that these are names that could aggravate the political crisis in the country.

According to the journalist, the matter is likely to be further deepened with other investigations, once a German prosecutor takes over as head of the EU Public Prosecutor's Office.

"What I know from very serious sources is that again the Germans, soon there will be a German who will be the head of the European Union's public prosecution. And this gentleman will receive two or three files with very important government and public figures in Albania who are under investigation. There are very serious investigations in the prosecution offices of European Union countries for very important names in power and politics in Albania. I cannot say names at the moment, they are very important names that will deepen, aggravate the crisis of Edi Rama and that government", - said Çollaku. /CNA
