The Constitutional Court sets the date for the review of Erion Veliaj's

The Constitutional Court has published the date of the session when the appeal of the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who is seeking a change in the security measure, is expected to be reviewed.

Based on the announcement, the hearing against Veliaj has been scheduled for May 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

"Among the issues that will be considered in the period April 21-May 28, 2026 are:

1- Request of no less than a quarter of the deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania for the resolution of the dispute of competence with the Assembly regarding the establishment of parliamentary investigative committees (Date of the session, 05.05.2026, 10:00)

2- Request of no less than one-fifth of the deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania for the repeal of certain provisions of the decrees of the President of the Republic on the appointment of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers (Date of the session, 26.05.2026, 11:00)

3- Erion Veliaj's request for the annulment of several decisions of the special court. (20.05.2026, 10:00)", the announcement states./ CNA
