Apostles Paul and Peter/The Message of the Beatitudes: Today man has turned away

The Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania, His Beatitude Joan, led the divine liturgy at the Church of the Apostle Paul, on the day of the Apostles Peter and Paul. In his speech, His Beatitude gave messages about love for God and for each other.

The Archbishop said that today man has turned away from God and from each other. Further, His Beatitude stated that there is no joy where there is evil, whenever we are in evil or have envy, there will be no joy.

His Beatitude John called for prayers from the two apostles to save the Church.

 

" People who do not love God do not love other people either. Only those who love God can take responsibility to teach other people, to save other people. Today, when people have turned away from God, they have also turned away from each other."

If we are enlightened by the Holy Spirit we will recognize many things that are within us. There is no joy where there is evil.

"Every time we are in trouble, we have slander, gossip, we will not have joy. Let us pray to the two great apostles to save our church ," said His Beatitude.
