Ylli Rakipi criticizes the media in Albania/ Most of them are servile to the government

The well-known journalist, Ylli Rakipi, spoke tonight about the European Parliament report to the media. Rakipi said that this report isn?t the biggest problem that have the media and Albania in general.

According to him the problem is much bigger. He raised accusations on Syri TV, that the media for the most part is servile to the government. ?In a context, from the point of view of how our media is viewed in the West, this is a normal relationship.

But that is not the problem in this report. We have a moment when our government has taken over all the poker. There are only a few segments of the media that the government has not brought under its control.

So in the face of the problem of fake news, which a Western report cites, we have many other problems. And the report of the European Parliament on the Albanian media is ridiculous, because we are saying ‘here is the wolf’, while the report tells us ‘here are his footprints’. Rama is going to a pair of elections where he wants to have it all for himself. We have the problem of survival. We have the problem that the media is mostly servile to the government?- said Rakipi./CNA.al
